The Reform on Marriage Annulment Process through the Motu Proprio Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus, promulgated by Pope Francisco, that has just entered into force, promotes a process free of charge, although ecclesiastical courts have been applying from the outset, gratuitous legal assistance and reductions of litigation costs, to benefit those faithful in need. The aforementioned Reform invites reflection on the possibility of adjusting the emoluments of lawyers and attorneys intervening in the case.
