La teoría griega sobre la interpretatio iuris rhetorica fue importada a Roma a través de las escuelas de retórica. La formación retórica recibida por los algunos jurisprudentes romanos, entre ellos Publio Juvencio Celso, marcó de forma indubitada la metodología que utilizaron en la resolución de cuestiones controvertidas de derecho sucesorio. La influencia retórica sirvió de reflexión sobre las posibles injusticias que podía conllevar una interpretación demasiado rígida de las disposiciones de última voluntad.

The Greek theory about the interpretatio iuris rhetorica was imported to Rome through the rhetoric schools. The rhetorical formation received for some roman jurist, among them Publio Juvecio Celso, influenced with any doubdt the metodology they used in the resolution of controversial questions of inheritance rights. The rhetorical influence served as a reflection on the possible injusticies that Could lead in a too rigid interpretation of the last will provisions.
