Notes about sanitary assistance to the por and sick in the Village of Cabra (XVI-XVIII Centuries) - Antonio Serrano Peña

Se pretende presentar una panorámica de las fuentes sobre la asistencia sanitaria ofrecida a pobres y enfermos en la Villa de Cabra, a través de sus diferentes instituciones, ya se trate de hospitales, centros de enseñanza, o las propias autoridades públicas, intentando poner de relieve los medios con que contaba para su financiación, medios materiales y personales con que se contaban, a lo que sumariamos diferentes circunstancias como la separación por clase de población, así como una breve referencia a situaciones especiales, como las provocadas por epidemias. Por último, realizaremos una breve mención a centros de educación que dedicaron, en su totalidad o en parte su actividad a los más necesitados.

Through we will try to show a panoramic view abour the sources of sanitary assistance that were offered to the por and sick in the village of Cabra through its different institutios (hospitals, teaching centers or even public institutions themselves) trying to emphasise on the available means for its funding, the material and human resources that were available, and in adition, we have to consider many different circumstances such as the separation of population, and the existence of special situation such as the ones that were caused by epidemics. Lastly, we will briefly mention the teaching centers which dedicated partially or totally their activities towards the ones in need.
