La pietas riveste un’indiscussa importanza all’interno del sistema valoriale romano sin dall’epoca più antica ed emerge quale parametro di riferimento all’interno delle fonti giuridiche. Partendo dal recente lavoro di Aurora López Gueto, il contributo intende offrire nuovi spunti di riflessione con riguardo al ruolo svolto dalla pietas non solo in relazione alla querela inofficiosi testamenti, ma anche in connessione, a vario titolo, con altri àmbiti giuridici, così come evidenzia l’esegesi di D. 11.7.14.7-9 (Ulp. 25 ad ed.) in tema di actio funeraria.
La pietas tiene una indiscutible importancia en el sistema de valores romanos desde épocas antiguas y resulta ser un parámetro de referencia en las fuentes jurídicas. Empezando por el reciente trabajo de Aurora López Gueto, el artículo intenta ofrecer nuevas ocasiones para reflexionar sobre el papel que tuvo la pietas no sólo en relación a la querela inofficiosi testamenti, sino también, y de varias formas, a otros ámbitos jurídicos, así como evidencia la exégesis de D. 11.7.14.7-9 (Ulp. 25 ad ed.) en tema de actio funeraria.
Pietas has had an undisputed importance within the Roman value system since the most ancient epoch and it appears as a reference parameter in legal sources. Starting from the recent work of Aurora López Gueto, the contribution intends to offer new insights with regard to the role played by Pietas, not only in relation to the querela inofficiosi testamenti, but also in connection, for various reasons, with other juridical areas, as evidenced by the exegesis of D. 11.7.14.7-9 (Ulp 25 ad ed.) on actio funeraria.
