Las páginas que siguen han sido escritas más con el corazón que con el intelecto. Su única pretensión es mostrar nuestro agradecimiento como hijos de la tierra de Navia (Asturias), hacia un hombre sabio, íntegro y de sublime cordialidad, que nos quiso honrar con su presencia y sus profundos conocimientos durante once de las catorce Jornadas de Historia celebradas hasta ahora. Navia era su laboratorio de ensayo de nuevas visiones e interpretaciones de diferentes aspectos del mundo jurídico y de analizar en su justa proporcionalidad a diversas figuras del panorama político-social que habían sido injustamente relegadas u olvidadas. Algunas de ellas, publicadas a posteriori de los actos académicos, fueron dedicadas afectuosamente a sus entrañables amigos naviegos.

The pages that follow have been written more with the heart than with the intellect. His only claim is to show our gratitude as children of Navia (Asturias), by a wise man, whole and of sublime cordiality, that he wanted to honor us with his presence and his deep knowledge during eleven of the fourteen History Seminars, celebrated so far. Navia was his laboratory for testing new visions and interpretations of different aspects of the legal world and to analyze in its just proportionality various figures of the political-social panorama that had been unjustly relegated or forgotten. Some of them, published a posteriori of the academic acts, were dedicated affectionately to their dear friends of Navia.
