(RI §416563)

Comments to the amendment of first paragraph of article 24 of the constitution in terms of freedom of ethical convictions, conscience and religion - Alberto Patiño Reyes

Palabras clave: Libertad de convicciones éticas; conciencia y religión.;

The amendment to the first paragraph of Article 24 of the Constitution, provoked the constitutional recognition of freedom of ethical convictions, conscience and religion. All three are unprecedented in our legal system. The first two represent a breakthrough for the legislative recognition of conscientious objection. With regard to freedom of religion, the legislature kept as freedom of worship, therefore, a confusion is recorded in their constitutional recognition.

Keywords: Freedom of ethical convictions; conscience and religión.;
