The difference between ecclesiastical and private property from bishops and clerics in the visigothic Hispania - M.ª José Roca

Sobre la base de las disposiciones testamentarias de algunos obispos de la época visigoda en Hispania, se analiza como la legislación conciliar y la visigoda fue construyendo el concepto de patrimonio eclesiástico. Las medidas tendían a la protección de un objeto patrimonial aunque afectasen a las personas tanto sujetos activos (testadores) como eventualmente a sujetos pasivos (manumisión de siervos).

The study of the testamentary dispositions of some bishops of the visigothic period serves as a base to analyse how the conciliar and visigothic legislation was building up the concept of ecclesiastic patrimony. The measures tried to protect a patrimonial object though it could affect to persons either active subjects (testators) or eventually passive subjects (manumission of slaves).
