En este trabajo se analiza a grandes rasgos la aportación que para la reconstrucción del texto original del Corpus iuris justinianeo (sobre todo, el Digesto) hacen las fuentes jurídicas (seculares) de época bizantina postjustinianea, distinguiendo entre diversos tipos de fuentes y su mayor o menor conexión con los textos justinianeos originales, y las posibilidades que se abren a investigaciones futuras.

This paper seeks to describe, in general terms, the contribution of the (secular) post-justinian Byzantine legal sources to the reconstruction of the original text of Justinian’s Corpus iuris civilis (above all, the Digest) by distinguishing between the different types of sources and their level of connection to the original texts of Justinian law, what offers no possibilities to future further research.
