La seguridad es imprescindible para aceptar la energía nuclear en el mix de energías disponibles. La seguridad requerida es de triple orden y conlleva una adecuada regulación de los aspectos básicos de esta clase de energía, especialmente, de las instalaciones que la producen y que almacenan sus residuos, como sucede con el ATC español. Exige máximos de seguridad tecnológica de la más avanzada vanguardia, probada y fiable. Todo ello sobre la base de un compromiso ético, por parte de todos los implicados: Gobiernos, industria técnica y ciudadanos, que se traduzca en un uso racional de esta clase de energía, conforme a un modelo de desarrollo sostenible que permita a todos, generaciones presentes y futuras, disfrutar de un medio ambiente saludable.

The security is essential in order to accept the nuclear energy in the whole of available energies. Three level of security is required and it involves a suitable regulation of the basic aspects of this kind of energy, especially (above all) of the facilities where it is produced and where the residuum are stored, as it happens with the Spanish central interim storage facility. This calls for being in the most advanced, proven and reliable van of technical security . All this based in an ethical commitment taken by all people involved: governments, technical industry and citizens, that leads to a rational use of this kind of energy, according to a model of sustainable development that allows anybody, present and future generations, to enjoy of a healthy environment.
