'Leyes para el gobierno de pueblos sujetos y pacíficos': Justicia y legislación en curias hispánicas y concilios ingleses (1154-1188) - José Manuel Cerda

The royal assemblies which gathered in the Spanish kingdoms and England before the thirteenth century have been excluded from the parliamentary period by most historians. Important legislative and judicial reforms discussed and promulgated at these meetings during the twelfth century have, therefore, received inadequate treatment and have not been the subject of comparative approaches. The present study sheds some light over some of these reforms, while evaluating the legislative and judicial functions of these assemblies, which reveal parliamentary symptoms from the second half of the twelfth century.

Las asambleas monárquicas que se reunieron en los reinos hispanos y en Inglaterra antes del siglo XIII han sido excluidas por los historiadores del mundo institucional pre-parlamentario. Por esta razón, las importantes reformas judiciales y legislativas que se discutieron y promulgaron en estas reuniones durante el siglo doce, no han recibido un tratamiento adecuado y no han sido sujeto de un acercamiento comparativo. El presente trabajo trae a la luz a algunas de estas reformas, al mismo tiempo que evalúa las funciones legislativas y judiciales de estas asambleas, las cuales ya van mostrando síntomas parlamentarios desde la segunda mitad del siglo doce.
