Con la finalidad de dotar de la necesaria protección económica y facilitar la inserción laboral y/o social de las víctimas de violencia de género, sexual o la ejercida por padres o hijos, actualmente se prevé el acceso específico de las mismas al nivel asistencial de la protección por desempleo. A tal efecto, en este trabajo se analiza específicamente el subsidio por desempleo de las víctimas de violencia de género o sexual introducido por el Real Decreto-Ley 2/2024, que ha venido a sustituir a la renta activa de inserción, con la que, hasta la aprobación de esta norma, se dotaba de protección social a estos colectivos.

In order to provide the necessary economic protection and facilitate the labor and/or social integration of victims of gender-based, sexual, or parental or child-related violence, specific access to unemployment benefits is currently provided for them. To this end, this paper specifically analyzes the unemployment benefit for victims of gender-based or sexual violence introduced by Royal Decree-Law 2/2024. This benefit replaced the active insertion income, which, until the approval of this law, provided social protection for these groups.
