The teaching staff of non-Catholic religions in the public educational system: regulation and reality - María Cebriá García

En el sistema educativo español se incluye además de la enseñanza de religión católica, la enseñanza de religión no católica, en concreto de las confesiones que hayan firmado acuerdo de cooperación con el Estado, como ocurre con evangélicos, judíos y musulmanes. La asignatura de religión es un área o materia en los distintos niveles educativos, pero con carácter voluntario para los alumnos. El régimen jurídico del profesorado encargado de impartir esta enseñanza religiosa no católica ha ido variando a lo largo de los años, al igual que el modelo educativo en su conjunto, y en ello nos vamos a centrar en este estudio.

I. INTRODUCCIÓN. II. EL RÉGIMEN JURÍDICO DE LOS PROFESORES DE RELIGIÓN NO CATÓLICA. 1. Los Acuerdos de 10 de noviembre de 1992. 2. Los Convenios sobre designación y régimen económico de las personas encargadas de la enseñanza religiosa evangélica e islámica en los centros docentes públicos de Educación Primaria y Secundaria de 1 de marzo 1996. 3. El Real Decreto de 1 de junio de 2007 por el que se regula la relación laboral de los profesores de religión. Problemas que se plantean: 3.1.Requisitos para ser profesores de religión evangélica, judía o islámica; 3.2.Temporalidad, modalidad del contrato y acceso al destino; 3.3.Forma y contenido del contrato. 3.4. Retribución del profesorado. 3.5.Extinción del contrato. 3.6. La experiencia de los profesores de religión y su valoración como mérito en los procesos selectivos del personal docente. 3.7. Integración de los profesores de religión no católica en los centros docentes. III. LA REALIDAD DE LA ENSEÑANZA DE LA RELIGIÓN NO CATÓLICA EN ESPAÑA. IV. BREVES VALORACIONES FINALES.

In the spanish education system, we include, in addition to Catholic religion, the teaching of some non Catholic religions, in concrete, of those denominations that have signed cooperations agreement with the State, as the Evangelicals, Jews and Muslims. The subject of religion is an area within the different education levels, but it is voluntary for the students. The legal status of the teachers for this non catholic studies has varied over the years, same as the educational model as a whole, and in this topics will focus our study.

I. INTRODUCTION. II. LEGAL REGIME OF THE NON-CATHOLIC RELIGION TEACHERS. 1. Agreements of November 10th 1992. 2. Conventions on designation and economic regime of the evangelic and Islamic religions teaching staff in the public Elementary schools and High schools of March 1st 1996. 3. The Real Decree of June 1st 2007 in which is regulated the work relations of the religion teachers. Arising problems: 3.1.Requirements to teach an evangelic, Jewish or Islamic religions; 3.2.Duration, modality of the contract and Access to the destination; 3.3.Structure and contents of the contract. 3.4. Retribution of the teaching staff. 3.5.Expiration of the contract. 3.6. The experience of the religion teachers and its evaluation as credit in selective process of the teaching staff. 3.7. The integration of the non-Catholic religion teachers in the educational institutions. III. THE REALITY OF THE NON-CATHOLIC RELIGION TEACHING IN SPAIN. IV. SHORT FINAL CONSIDERATIONS.
