El artículo estudia principalmente la recepción, en la legislación bajomedieval castellana, de la regla romana que establecía la obligación de los gobernadores provinciales y de otros funcionarios de permanecer, al término de su cargo, durante cincuenta días en el lugar en el que desempeñaron sus funciones para responder por su gestión (C. 1.49; Nov. 8.9; Nov. 95; Nov. 128.23-24; Nov. 161.1). Dicha regla se recibe en P. III,4,6, y estará vigente en el Derecho Histórico español hasta el siglo XIX.

The article mainly studies the reception, in the legislation of the late medieval Castilian, of the Roman rule that established the obligation of provincial governors and other officials to remain, at the end of the post, for fifty days in the place where they played their functions to account for its management (C. 1.49; Nov. 8.9; Nov. 95; Nov. 128.23-24; Nov. 161.1). This rule is received in P. III,4,6, and will be in force in the Spanish historical Law until the XIXth century.
