En cualquier país, el papel del Tribunal Constitucional y de los Poderes del Estado es básico en esta fundamental labor y la constante e internacionalmente extendida – en mayor o menor medida- tendencia al control político sobre el Poder Judicial, supone una contaminación en la esencia y una merma de garantías y de legitimidad democrática que puede provocar graves problemas. No se puede olvidar jamás- so pena de correr graves riesgos- de donde emana la auténtica legitimidad y soberanía.

The rol of the Constitutional Court and of the Power of the States is basic in this fundamental labour and the constant and internationally widespread - in major or minor measure - trend to the political control on the Judicial one, supposes a contamination in the essence and a reduction of warranties and of democratic legitimacy that can provoke serious problems. It cannot be forgotten - on pain of running serious risks - wherefrom the authentic legitimacy and sovereignty comes.
