El trabajo es un estudio del tratamiento jurídico penal de la eutanasia que parte de la discusión en las instituciones europeas de la Unión y el Consejo de Europa para abordar luego la cuestión desde un análisis comparado de su regulación por los Estados miembros mediante la definición de un modelo estándar de tratamiento de la eutanasia y con atención especial a los casos especiales y a la legislación alemana.

This paper presents a study on the penal-legal treatment of euthanasia which starts from the discussion in the European institutions of the EU and the Council of Europe, to undertake then the subject in a compared analysis of the Member States laws, through the definition of a “Standard Model” in the euthanasia regulation and paying special attention to the particular European cases and, finally, to the German legislation.
