El Fondo Europeo de Adaptación a la Globalización (FEAG). Comentario al Reglamento (CE) n.º 1927/2006 del Parlamento Europeo y del Consejo, de 20 de diciembre de 2006. (RI §400655)  

Este trabajo analiza el Reglamento (CE) n.º 1927/2006 del Parlamento Europeo y del Consejo, de 20 de diciembre de 2006, por el que se crea el Fondo Europeo de Adaptación a la Globalización (FEAG), mediante el cual la Comunidad ofrecerá solidaridad y apoyo a trabajadores despedidos como consecuencia de los cambios estructurales en los patrones del comercio mundial vinculados al actual proceso de globalización económica. El FEAG es accesible a todos los Estados miembros y cuenta con una dotación anual máxima de 500 millones de euros para facilitar la reinserción laboral de entre 35.000 y 50.000 trabajadores en toda la Unión Europea. El FEAG podría contribuir a un modelo social europeo basado en la nueva noción de “flexiguridad”.

This paper deals with Regulation (EC) No 1927/2006 of the European Parliament and the Council, of 20 December 2006, on establishing the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF), through which the Community would show its solidarity towards workers affected by redundancies resulting from changes in world trade patterns linked to the current process of economic globalisation. The EGF is accessible to all Member States and it has a maximum annual budget of 500 million euros to facilitate the reintegration into employment of 35.000 to 50.000 workers in all the European Union. The EGF could contribute to a European social model based in the new notion of “flexicurity”.
